The American Solar and Wind power

Compared to the previous years the American wind power has
shown good indication. It has risen to contribute 5% of the country’s energy needs as per the report of 2014. On the other hand,  new Solar installations have risen to 30%solar_cells_panels_pv_array_monocrystaline

This follows the energy needs addressed by natural gas. Strangely, EIA’s view, that the renewable sources of energy would grow at an average rate of 0.1% a year through 2040, stands  in contradiction to this positive development. The view is not an encouraging one. This also becomes obvious in the words of Michael Goggin, the senior director of research at the American Wind Energy Association.

Despite having fairly good possibilities of going ahead with the investments in the renewable energy sector, coal companies and oil companies seem to be attracting huge investments. The law-makers and America’s authority evince more interest in addressing the needs, with the fossil fuels, not only today but in future too..

the shares of coal and nuclear in the market to remain level, power companies would need to embark on perhaps the largest and fastest building spree in history,

At a time, when conservationists and environmentalists strive to bring down the carbon emissions, law-makers should join hands to reach a carbon-free environment. The efforts put in by  WOW, which is the leading wind energy advocacy group in the Midwest, and the regional affiliate of the American Wind Energy Association, is highly appreciable. The members of the Article Goodwill hold WOW in high esteem for the significant role played by it strengthening the renewable energy sector, and being a role model many other nations.
